GTM Group Ltd’s Argveta ferro-alloy plant is competitive among
regional ferro-alloy producers. The
plant’s existing blast furnace operates on graphic electrodes with diameter of
600 mm and consumes 11 MW of power. GTM
has recently completed the installation of a new submerged arc furnace (SAF) at
its Argveta plant. SAF is scheduled to
be commissioned for production by late April 2017.
Georgia enjoys wealth of natural resources for hydropower generation. GTM purchases required electrical power
locally. Due to its solid relationships
with power suppliers and its possession of a power-transformer substation with 110/10
25 MGT capacity at ferro-alloy plant, GTM maintains grater cost control in the
production of SiMn. Plant production
managers employ sophisticated automated systems in order to maintain precise
control over mixing process and guarantee the quality of our product.
We are proud to note GTM’s investments in anti-pollution systems. Our company is dedicated to strict implementation
of various measures in order to protect environment at
its Argveta ferro-alloy plant. GTM’s plant
is in full compliance with state’s environmental laws and regulations.
